It was my birthday a few days ago and as I am part of the Creative Inker’s Birthday Club I received a number of lovely handmade cards from other demonstrators. So I thought I’d show you a few of them.
These lovely cards have been made with a variety of Stampin’ Up! products, mostly current, a few retired and some retiring soon (you need to be in quickly). Some of the cards are perfect examples of mixing different product to create a unique project completely different from anyone elses and certainly completely different from anything you could buy in the shop.

The Creative Inkers group is a lovely group of ladies and one or two gentlemen who are a very enthusiastic and supportive group. We get together regularly for team meetings/training, Stamp Camp and Corporate Events.
Over the years one or two of us have had various life events some positive and some not happy but at every turn, the Creative Inkers have stepped up to support each other. Whether it be
replacing food items when one of our members had a flood, cards of support to each other when needed, cards of congratulations, and as you can see, birthday cards etc, etc, etc. What a fabulous group.
Happy stamping!
Christine
If you live in New Zealand all supplies used to create these projects can be purchased HERE.

Having rediscovered the lovely “Flying Home” stamp set recently I was eager to trying different colour schemes. This combination I found on Pinterest by Laura Allen. I love the blue/teal combination of Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Dapper Denim with just a touch of Daffodil Delight/Pumpkin Pie.
Do you know, that when I first saw the “Painted with Love” DSP, it didn’t appeal to me at all. First off, I don’t do gold. I tend to prefer silver/white gold instead. All of my jewellery is silver coloured. And then the main colours are rather bright pinks….. I don’t usually do that either. If you check back on some of my older posts, I tend towards blues and teals.
Prior to constructing the box, I adhere the DSP to one of the box pieces using adhesive just around the edges. I then die cut the heart from the centre which resulted in me having a heart of DSP and the Rich Razzleberry. These pieces I used to embellish one of the Narrow Note Cards. A bit of gold embossing and the card is complete. These note cards and their envelopes are just the right size for the box.
This morning I was going through my stamp sets and came across “Flying Home” and realised that I hadn’t used it for a while. It’s a sweet stamp set with some very pretty images just right for colouring with Stampin’ Blends. So taking inspiration from the lovely
I just love, love, love the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. The bright, fresh, vibrant colours just work for me.
It’s amazing how often things can be more than they seem on first impression.
Lots of Lavender is another 2018 Sale-a-bration stamp set you can earn for free when you spend NZ$110.
Once again I have used Early Espresso instead of black for the outline to give a slightly softer look. To colour the image I have used Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi and for the greeting Elegant Eggplant.
Party time!
