I do love the way Stampin’ Up! encourages casing projects. (CASE = Copy and share everything). The other day I came across THIS post from Stampin By Hannah, and she had in turn cased the card from THIS post by Teneale Williams. Each card is basically the same but we have all added our own little tweek to it.
This simple card shows off one of the sheets from the lovely Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper beautifully. This is a lovely pack of double sided paper combining floral images and simple patterns.
Layered onto Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight and then topped with Vellum Cardstock, torn at the bottom and some Baker’s Twine it makes the perfect base for the ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting. In this instance I have cut the greeting twice, once each with Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight and ever so slightly off set them. I believe that make the greeting stand out just that little bit more.
You do have to be careful with Vellum as any adhesive you use will show through and be quite visible. To reduce this, I have adhered the greeting onto the vellum before attaching to the card. That way I was able to put a few spots of adhesive behind the greeting to secure it to the card. It may not be obvious but the edges of the vellum are completely free. The Baker’s Twine not only looks great but it helps to hold down the top of the vellum.
The ‘Happy Birthday’ is a thinlit available for purchase by itself or as part of a bundle with “Happy Birthday Gorgeous” stamp set to save 10%.
Happy stamping!
Christine
