I have seen many versions of this card so it is difficult to give appropriate credit. Having seen a number, here is what I came up with. I rather like it don’t you? While being a little fiddly it is simple and a great way to use up scraps of any paper or card stock.
For this card, I have used the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) cut with the Tailored Tags punch. I stamped that greeting on a lighter colour piece of the DSP punched it out and placed it first on a card front sized piece of Early Espresso. The rest of the pieces I placed around it in a planned yet random fashion leave a gap to look like grout. I allowed the edge pieces to go off the edge of the Early Espsresso card stock and them trimmed them once the glue had dried. Finished if off with a little Linen Thread and mounted it onto a Crumb Cake card base. Nothing could be simpler.
And given it is my husband’s birthday this month I made another one but this time added a border of Early Espresso just for a little extra layer.
Happy stamping!
Christine
