Beautiful Bouquet

This is a stamp and die set that I have previously over looked and I’m not sure why.  It is lovely.  Pretty images, matching/co-ordinating dies and lovely sentiments for many occasions.

Taking inspiration from Marelle Taylor, I created this lovely bouquet using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the Bouquet Bunch framelets.

The flowers were die cut using one of the flower cluster dies.  Roughly sponged with Rich Razzleberry ink, making sure that some had more ink than other to ensure a variegated result and placed in a rough circle on the Whisper White (previously embellished with embossing paste and Dazzling Diamonds) and then subsequent layer added towards to centre thus creating a 3D effect on the Pear Pizazz stems and Crumb Cake paper wrapping.  Finished off with the little Linen Thread.

After having made the first card I thought I’d try a slightly different techique.  This time I used another one of the flower clusters but this time instead of sponging, I used an aqua painter to add colour to the middle of  each of the petals.  This really does give it the 3D effect.

Which one do you prefer?  I love them both but I think the painted version is my favourite.  It was certainly popular with my ladies at our regular card making class.  They were given the option to do either one and they all chose the same one.

Happy stamping!

Christine
