Yeah! I’m back posting and hope to make it a more regular thing. I’ve struggled photography and good lighting. However, this Christmas I was given a mini light box for photography. So, while I still have a lot to learn, the best way is by actually doing. So here goes!
I know this is a bit late for Christmas however, the stampset and dies are still available until 3 January 2022, and will be carrying over into an up coming catalogue. So if I’m able to tempt you with this set, you can still get it.
After seeing a post and video from Ruth Trice, I thought I’d have a go at stamping a page for a one sheet wonder collection using the Merriest Moments stamp set (this can also come with matching dies and a hybrid embossing folder). I loved the colours Ruth used so I copied her stamping and made up a couple of cards the same as Ruth’s. The colours used are Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizazz. I just love the non traditional yet still appropriate colours.
Then looking at the paper I realised just how lovely it was and rather than cut it into small pieces, I decided to feature the paper by itself. So I decided to keep it simple, by matting and mounting the paper onto a card base and, using just what I had to hand (some retired products), I added modest embellishments and greetings and let the stamped paper do the talking.
Isn’t the paper just beautiful.
Once I started, I kept going and going and ended up with a handful of beautiful cards all created from one stamped sheet of cardstock.
