Mid Winter Christmas – Santa’s Sleigh

By | 05/07/2017

With Stampin’ Up! releasing the “Christmas in July” promotion I thought it would be a good opportunity to do a few mid winter Christmas cards.  So here is my first offering.

It uses the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and the matching thinlet dies.  I’ve had this set for quite some time but this has been the first opportunity to have a bit of a play with it.  This set includes lots of Christmas related images including a reindeer, mini Christmas wreath, bows and presents along with the sleigh and trees as seen here.

I love the delicate filigree look on Santa’s Sleigh using the Gold Foil Card on Real Red Cardstock.  But in saying that, it’s the little teddy that finishes it off nicely.

And if you look closely you may notice that I have also used Stampin’ Up!s new embossing paste to create a very subtle background.

The embossing paste is fast drying and extremely easy to use.  Used with a variety of masks the result are quite remarkable.

Add a few drops of re-inker and you can change the colour and for the extra bit of bling you can add some Dazzling Diamonds.

Happy stamping!

Christine
